HOLLAND, Mich. — At 2:30 firefighters responded to a blazing fire at someone's home. The horrific scene took place on West 20th Street, according to The City of Holland.
Heavy fire swarmed the front door, making an entrance challenging. Eventually the firefighters were able to remove one person alongside a pet. However, one pet was unable to be rescued, succumbing to its injuries.
Though the details of the person saved aren't known in full, the Holland Fire Department reports that he/she was conscious, alert and oriented in transport to Holland Hospital via AMR.
