MILTON TOWNSHIP, Mich. — A 90-year-old woman died after a crash in Milton Township on Wednesday morning.
The crash happened about 10:20 a.m. on US 12 at the M 60 interchange, according to the Cass County Sheriff’s Office.
The woman, Patricia McIntyre of Niles, tried to make a left turn onto US 12 and into the path of an eastbound vehicle.
The car, driven by 23-year-old Cody Cummings, struck McIntyre’s on the driver’s side, police said.
His car caught on fire during the crash and was put out by other drivers.
McIntyre was pronounced dead at the scene.
Cummings and his passenger were taken to South Bend Memorial Hospital for minor injuries.
Everyone involved in the crash was wearing seat belts.
The crash remains under investigation.
