MUSKEGON, Mich. — The Muskegon Farmer's Market has been the primary benefactor of the Taste of Muskegon festival for years, but by switching to an online format due to Coronavirus, food and drink sales have disappeared.
That's why, for last 10 days, the festival has used virtual evening concerts as a fundraiser, headlining bands such as The Accidentals, John Merchant, and The Cadillac Experience.
39 local restaurants and food trucks are still featured through this year's event, with all offering a Taste menu with up to four feature items.
Lisa Kraus, Director of Marketing for Taste of Muskegon, joined us live to talk about how today (Sunday, June 28) is the last day to enjoy the festival, with the band Wayland performing tonight online.
