MICHIGAN — Michigan has 458,852 active cases of COVID-19 as of Saturday. A 28,000-patient increase from last Saturday.

The total confirmed overnight 3,896 new cases, while 187 people died of the virus - 155 of those were found during what the state is calling a "Vital Records review".

Kent, Ottawa, and Branch Counties continue to be some of the hardest hit in the state, however, charts on the state's website show Wayne and Oakland Counties, who lead the state in cases and deaths for months, are now in the 4th-least category for Cases Per Million People. Counties in the U.P. continue to rise with Menomonee, Dickinson, Iron, and Delta Counties showing more than 56,000 cases per million people.
