GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — SpartanNash is partnering with several West Michigan restaurants to feature some of their hot-ticket menu items in stores.

The company sees this as a way to help restaurants get employees working again while providing their customers with new choices. Favorite menu items from each restaurant will be available in the deli sections of select SpartanNash stores for consumers to buy.

"This is a win-win partnership for West Michiganders and local restaurants hit hard by the COVID-19 pandemic," Says Executive Vice President & Chief Merchandising and Marketing Officer, Lori Raya. "...Together we can and will build stronger communities through these local partnerships."

Raya calls supporting local agriculture and business "vitally important" to SpartanNash. She tells FOX 17 the company started this process soon after the Stay Home order went into effect, working with West Michigan Tag and Label who donated ingredient and branding labels for each restaurant.

“Being in the food business – whether a grocery retailer, wholesaler, supplier or restaurant – we all have something in common: helping create an exceptional experience for the guests we serve, said Raya. “Now, more than ever, we want to provide not only the financial support to our restaurants, but the emotional connectivity to some of West Michigan’s ‘must have’ menu options.”

A full list of the participating restaurants, menu items available, and locations can be found here. The heat-&-serve meals are available starting April 23rd and 100% of the proceeds go to supporting the restaurant partners.
