GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — The closure on Monday of the Grand Rapids Children’s Museum doesn’t mean the loss of an activity center for your kids.

They are still planning a different daily activity theme online, says museum COO Erin Crison. "The more resources we can offer, the better," she says.

In fact, she says it’s a great way to turn things around and take advantage of having the kids at home. “Use (the time) to your advantage,” Crison says.

Museum staff may be working at home, but they are busy creating activities online with a different theme every day: Move It Monday, Science Tuesday, Wild Wednesday, Try It Thursday, and Story Time Friday.

The launch of activities is expected today.

Meanwhile, there’s plenty to do at the museum’s physical location. On normal times the museum gets a deep cleaning every Monday, so that is being done. “We’re used to the cleaning,” Crison said.
