25,635 coronavirus cases confirmed in Michigan

LANSING, Mich. — The number of positive cases of the coronavirus in Michigan has increased to 25,635.

The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS) reported the latest numbers of cases in the coronavirus outbreak this afternoon.

The number of cases has increased 997 from yesterday, when there were 24,638 statewide cases. Yesterday, the state reported 645 new cases.

The state says there have been 1,602 coronavirus deaths in Michigan.

The number of deaths has increased 115 from yesterday, when there were 1,487 statewide deaths. Yesterday, the state reported 95 new deaths.

Statewide, 433 people have recovered from the virus as of April 10.

In the U.S., there are 572,169 cases, and there have been 23,070 deaths — while 42,324 people have recovered, according to the Center for Systems Science and Engineering at Johns Hopkins University.
