LANSING, Mich. — The number of positive cases of the coronavirus in Michigan has increased to 15,718.
The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS) reported the latest numbers of cases in the coronavirus outbreak this afternoon.
There were 14,225 statewide cases yesterday afternoon.
The state says there have been 617 coronavirus deaths in Michigan. It reported 540 yesterday.
In the U.S., there are 324,052 cases, and there have been 9,180 deaths — while 16,789 people have recovered, according to the Center for Systems Science and Engineering at Johns Hopkins University.
