14,225 cases of coronavirus confirmed in Michigan

LANSING, Mich. — The number of positive cases of the coronavirus in Michigan has increased to 14,225.

The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS) reported the latest numbers of cases in the coronavirus outbreak this afternoon.

There were 12,744 statewide cases yesterday afternoon.

The state says there have been 540 coronavirus deaths in Michigan. It reported 479 yesterday.

In the U.S., there are 297,575 cases, and there have been 8,098 deaths — while 10,032 people have recovered, according to the Center for Systems Science and Engineering at Johns Hopkins University.
