Mason Township crash between car and motorcycle injures 2

MASON TOWNSHIP, Mich. — Two were left injured in a Mason Township crash between a motorcycle and a car Sunday afternoon.

Around 1 p.m., the Cass County Sheriff’s Office was called to investigate a motorcycle/ car crash that occurred on Mason Road east of Calvin center, Mason Township.

Adrian Black, a 27 -year-old of Constantine, was driving his motorcycle westbound on Mason Street when Stephanie Wolkins, a 30-year-old of Cassopolis traveling the same direction, turn left into her driveway.

As Wolkins was turning, Black tried to pass on the left, hitting Wolkins's vehicle and throwing Mr. Black and his passenger Sabrina Porter, a 47-year-old of Sturgis, to the ground.

Both Porter and Black were transported to South Bend Memorial Hospital for their injuries.

Safety belts were worn, but helmets were not.

At this time it is not known if intoxicating substances were a factor.

This case remains under investigation.
