CALVIN TOWNSHIP, Mich. — An Elkhart resident crashed into a parked truck and trailer while driving under the influence.
This happened at 7 a.m. on May 23, just south of Robinson and Leninger lakes in Calvin Township.
Troy Jeffrey Eppert Jr. lost control of his vehicle while heading southbound on Cassopolis Road near Mt. Zion Street, and hit a parked truck and trailer in a driveway.
The 20-year-old had worn a seatbelt, yet was taken to the hospital with injuries.
Police say alcohol/drugs played a factor in this crash.
The Cass County Sheriff's Office is still investigating the accident.
