1. High water levels have forced South Haven to cancel its annual 4th of July Fireworks Show.

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers predicts Lake Michigan could rise another 8-10 inches between now and July.

The water rising could submerge the North Pier, and make it unsafe for organizers to stage the show.

The fireworks display was always held on July 3 drawing in thousands of people.

If those lake levels diminish, the city says it's not giving up hope to do some sort of fire works show at some point this year.

Make sure your bedroom is dark and the temperature is comfortable.

For kids, make sure they're involved in physical activity during the day, but avoid it directly before bedtime.

When it comes to food, they say avoid alcohol, cigarettes, caffeinated drinks, and heavy meals in the evening because they can disrupt sleeping and can cause discomfort or indigestion.

When it really comes down to it, keep a regular bedtime.

3. People living on the west side of Grand Rapids now have a new place to fill up and grab a snack.

Meijer opened its Stockbridge Express gas station on Thursday morning at the corner of Stocking and Bridge Street.
