The Grand Rapids Civic Theater is bringing a classic story to the stage, "Matilda"!
"Matilda" started as a character in the novel by the same name, was adapted to the big screen in the 1990's, and then hit Broadway less than 10 years ago.
The two stars of the highly acclaimed musical, stopped by the Morning Mix studio to perform one of Matilda's songs, "Naughty".
Precocious Matilda lives in a world of imagination with no boundaries. Since her family doesn't give her the attention she needs, and her headmistress is a tyrant, she has to rely on her imagination to get through it all. But when Miss Honey takes an interest in her intellect and wit, along with a blessing of magic, Matilda manages to navigate everything her dramatic life throws at her.
"Matilda: The Musical" will be performed February 28 through March 22.
