The Leukemia and Lymphoma Light the Night fundraising campaign is vital in the funding of research to find blood cancer cures. Each year thousands of people form teams to raise money to support the mission but like most things in 2020, it will be virtual.
On October 1 from 7 – 8 p.m. held virtually statewide, involving guest speakers, a virtual team village and remembrance pavillion, and other online activities.
Normally, participants carry illuminated lanterns – white for survivors/patients, gold for those who have lost someone, and red for supporters in the community. However this year people will have to do that in their own yards.
Registration is free, but fundraising is highly encouraged. Almost 80 percent of each dollar raised goes directly to cancer research & patient support.
