September is National Suicide Prevention and Awareness Month. i undertand is starting the conversation to those in need of information by hosting Pink Heart Day on September 10 at Frederik Meijer Gardens.
For a $100 donation, people will be able to drive through the beautiful Frederik Meijer Garden Sculpture Park to listen to the tunes of a local live band, Shimmie Pearl, check out i understand's pop-up shop, enjoy snacks and beverages, and more.
The event also comes with a Pink Pak goodie bag which comes with the book "I Understand Pain, Love, and Healing After Suicide", a bookmark, an umbrella, a pink heart stress ball, a pink heart cookie, a Biggby beverage coupon, along with a day pass to the gardens and a food voucher to the garden cafe.
The event will take place from 4-7 p.m.
