If the past six months has done a number on your stress levels, it's time to learn how to combat the stress if you haven't already done so. Everyone in need of learning ways to manage their stress is invited to join an online seminar through The Healing Movement.
The Fox 17 Morning Mix spoke with Deb Timmerman, a 20-year expert and certified stress mastery teacher shared more details on the seminar and explains the importance of stress management during coronavirus.
Topics will include the impact of stress on women, COVID and other trauma, keys to emotional regulation, building stress capacity, personal plan for resilience, and other trauma.
In addition, The Boys & Girls Clubs of Grand Rapids Youth Commonwealth staff and members were recently trained by Deb Timmerman. Timmerman’s program includes HeartMath—a technology that clips onto the body’s ear, or finger, using heart rate and breathing to align the body, brain, and immune system. Through this training, the BGCGR members learn breathing techniques, how to hone in on positive emotions, how to prepare for the day vs a daunting task, and more.
