Honor veterans who have served the United States by sending them on a free trip to Washington D.C. to see America's national war monuments. However in order to do that, the Honor Flight Network is asking the community for help by attending their upcoming fundraiser.
The fundraiser will take place February 29 at the Remus Bowling Center from 1-6 p.m. At 3 p.m. the Incredible Dr. Pol will make an appearance, along with Charlie the therapy horse.
The Honor Flight Network is a national organization with programs to transport Veterans across America to see their memorials. Many of these monuments represent veterans who've fought in World War II, Korea, Vietnam and many more.
Each flight costs about $100,000 to bring 50-60 veterans on a single trip, so donations are vital to making many of these veteran's dreams a reality.
