The Home and Garden Show is returning to downtown Grand Rapids, and the show will be blooming with everything a homeowner would need for their garden, landscaping, and more.
West Michigan’s largest Home & Garden show is back for its 41st season with 13 feature gardens, five free seminar stages and over 350 exhibitors featuring every product and service homeowners will ever need, all under one roof.
Saturday, March 7, will be the perfect day to bring in the whole family, because Saturday is Family Day at the Home and Garden Show! Kids can get in free until noon, there will be a pancake breakfast from 9-11 a.m. along with special activities throughout the entire afternoon.
One of the special activities will be "Smarty Plants" with Ian Warnock, a Meijer Gardens Lead Horticulturist, who stopped by the studio to show off some of the plants he'll showcase during the event.
During “Smarty Plants – Plants That Do Stuff," he'll be talking about unusual plants or common plants that might do unusual things. These will be plants that look like animals or other things, or have different smells, or make things taste differently, or make noises, or tell the time, or are hungry for prey!
The West Michigan Home and Garden Show will take place March 5 - 8 at DeVos Place.
Tickets will cost $10 for adults, $4 for kids 6-14, and free for kids 5 and under.
