Beyond the shamrocks and leprechauns is actually St. Patrick. For those who plan to go out and celebrate the holiday with a beer, why not honor the saint and help out local babies in need at the same time?

On March 16, Catholic Charities of West Michigan is hosting Honor St. Patrick at Hennessy's Pub in Muskegon.

From 6:30 to 10 p.m. people can come to the pub, grab a drink, and enjoy some good company.

Father Matthew Barnum will be the guest bartender at the event. Father Matthew Barnum is the pastor of St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception Parish and Our Lady of Grace Parish in Muskegon.

Proceeds from the event will benefit The Baby and Toddler Pantry. The program gives parents in need to the opportunity to come once a month to receive free diapers, wipes, clothing, and other supplies for their children.
