If you like piña coladas … well then, you might enjoy a fruity take on a frappuccino that you can only get by ordering from the Starbucks secret menu.

Okay, so there’s technically not a hidden menu that only those in the know can order from at the well-known coffee chain. But beverage aficionados have created a wide-ranging assortment of recipes you can use to place an order at your local Starbucks to indulge in a unique and delicious drink.

The Piña Colada Frappuccino is one such refreshment. It’s just right for sipping while dipping your toes in the sand or relaxing in your backyard on a sunny summer day.

StarbucksSecretMenu.net posts instructions on ordering amazing concoctions like the Piña Colada Frap. They shared a tantalizing photo of the drink on Twitter a few years ago, along with a link to the recipe.

“The new drink of the summer is here,” they tweeted. “The Pina Colada #Frappuccino!”

So what is a Piña Colada Frap, exactly? Well, it’s not a coffee drink. This drink is based on a Teavana Piña Colada Tea Infusion, which includes black tea, pineapple and coconut milk. The order begins with Starbucks’ proprietary Crème Frappuccino base with coconut milk, followed by the tea mixture and topped off with extra ice and another splash of the crème base — blended, of course.

Alternatively, you can add vanilla bean powder, classic syrup and vanilla syrup to the mix. This version results in a creamy, vanilla-based beverage reminiscent of a piña colada milkshake. (For specifics, check out the recipe here.)

Did you know that Starbucks has a trademark on the word “Frappuccino?” Although the original version was indeed just coffee, milk and ice, Starbucks reports that you can order more than 36,000 different combinations of the blended beverages today.

Some of them are also “secret menu” creations, such as one that’s also perfect for the last days of summer — the strawberry cheesecake frappuccino.

Either way, if you are craving a sweet, tropical, summery drink, you can’t go wrong.
