GRAND RAPIDS — WEST MICHIGAN — The forecast from FOX 17 Meteorologist Ty Shesky: Sunshine and heat will be the main story as we head into the first few weeks of July. A ridge of high pressure will assure mainly rain-free conditions over the extended forecast. Very limited to almost zero rain is expected into and past the holiday weekend. If the heat sets your eyes on Lake Michigan, good news is it will be nice and calm all week.

TONIGHT: Mostly clear. Lows in the middle 60s. Light east/southeast wind.

TOMORROW: Mostly sunny. Highs around 90°. East wind around 5 mph.

TOMORROW NIGHT: Mostly clear. Lows in the middle 60s. Wind becoming calm.

THURSDAY: Mostly sunny and hot. Highs in the lower 90s. Light and variable wind becoming north at 5 to 10 mph.

FRIDAY: Mostly sunny and somewhat humid. Highs in the lower to middle 90s.
