GRAND RAPIDS — West Michigan kicked off Sunday with some sunshine before more cloud cover will build in and ultimately see snow showers arrive. Temperatures will still push into the lower 40s with winds mostly out of the east throughout the day. Snow showers start to arrive from south to north around sunset.
Snow showers will move in after sunset and continue into early Monday morning. We can see a dusting to 1-2 inches of accumulating snow by the time we reach Monday morning. A dusting can be seen the more northwest you travel and 1-2 inches of snow can be seen the more south and east you travel. Much of the accumulating snow will stick to grassy surfaces or any cars you park outside overnight. Any accumulations on the roadways I think would be around the I-94 area if anywhere at all. It is possible to run into a slick spot or two early on in the day on Monday. The good news is the snow will quickly melt away throughout Monday!
Once the snow melts away throughout Monday we will push temperatures back into the 50s for the rest of the week. We can see some rain showers mainly overnight Tuesday mostly south of I-96 before more impactful rain showers arrive Thursday through Saturday.
