MICHIGAN — Strong winds could knock out power to Michigan residents on Monday.

Consumers Energy says they're prepared and also committed to practicing social distancing and regularly cleaning work services during the COVID-19 pandemic. Residents are also asked to stay at least 6 feet away from workers and the equipment they're using.

It's also important to stay at least 25 feet away from downed power lines. Consumers Energy says you can call 9-11 or Consumers Energy at 800-477-5050 to report a downed power line.

Wind gusts could be between 40 to 50 MPH today.
