TAMPA — Health officials in Florida are worried the Tampa Bay Buccaneers' Super Bowl win might have helped create super spreader event with masses of maskless fans celebrating together. It will take more than a month for health officials to really see if there is an uptick in COVID-19 cases. It's not from the game itself, but from events before and after. That major victory Sunday night had fans in Soho overcome with excitement.

Hundreds could be seen huddled in a pit of people celebrating, mostly without masks, which could have put them at a higher risk of contracting or spreading the virus. The current Tampa mask ordinance requires people to mask-up in entertainment zones but not everyone followed this rules.

This is also concerning as the U-K variant of COVID-19 has already been spreading in the U.S.
