  • Game of the Week: Cedar Springs (2-0) at Grand Rapids Catholic Central (2-0)

In the newly aligned OK Conference, Cedar Springs gets set to battle defending state champion, Grand Rapids Catholic Central.

The Red Hawks have won back-to-back OK White championships while the Cougars are four-time OK Blue champions as the two teams now meet in the new OK Gold.

"This is exciting. I mean it's a big game," Cedar Springs head coach Gus Kapolka said. "A month ago we didn't even know if we were going to have a season and now you are playing in a really big football game against an elite opponent, so excited. This is the reason why you coach, this is the reason why you play."

Both teams enter the game unbeaten and Grand Rapids Catholic Central head coach Todd Kolster says they'll need to be prepared for a lot of physicality on Friday night.

"They've been physical, they play hard. That is the thing as a coach you want somebody to say about your team," Kolster said, "that they are physical and they play hard and I would definitely say that. They play harder than anybody that we've played and they are definitely more physical than anybody that we've played."

  • Blitz Battle: Zeeland East (2-0) at Zeeland West (2-0)

It's the 20th edition of the annual Zeeland Bird Bowl as John Shillito's Zeeland West team gets set to take on Derek Pennington and Zeeland East.

The Dux took both meetings in 2019, 34-14 in the regular season and the matchup in the opening round of the playoffs.

However, Zeeland East won the two meetings in 2018, including another matchup in the playoffs.

"It should be a fun night," Shillito said, "it's going to be, hopefully, a very competitive game, they're very, very good, we're not a terribly experienced team."

Both the Chix and Dux are unbeaten after both teams beat Wyoming and Grand Rapids Union to start the season.

"We've had some success so far this year but we're going to find out a lot more about ourselves I think on Friday," Shillito added.

  • Holland (0-2) at Mona Shores (2-0)

Also in the OK Green, Mona Shores hosts Holland after a thrilling 21-14 win over Muskegon in the Game of the Week in week two.

Holland is coming off of back-to-back losses to Muskegon and Reeths-Puffer, respectively.

  • Grandville (2-0) at Hudsonville (2-0)

In the OK Red, Hudsonville hosts Grandville in a big early season matchup in the conference.

The Bulldogs had won four straight in the meeting from 2014-17 but the Eagles have responded and have won the last two, including a 44-21 decision in 2019.

Grandville and Hudsonville have each beaten Grand Haven and East Kentwood to begin the season unbeaten.

  • Caledonia (1-1) at Jenison (1-1)

Also in the OK Red, Caledonia and Jenison do battle after the Fighting Scots suffered a 49-7 loss to Rockford in week two.

Meanwhile, the Wildcats beat West Ottawa, 35-25 to improve to 1-1 on the season.

"They want to beat you up, they're daring you to be as physical as they are," said Jenison head coach, Rob Zeitman, "they're going to be a great, physical football team and we need to be equal to that task."

The Wildcats are back in the OK Red for the first time since 2011 and Zeitman understands how big each and every week is in the conference.

"Every team in the OK Red that faces us is going to question whether we belong in this league and that's natural, that's fine," Zeitman said, "but we do belong, we'll prove it every Friday night. We might not win but we're going to go down swinging and fight until the very end."

  • Forest Hills Central (2-0) at Byron Center (2-0)

In the OK White, two of the three unbeatens in the conference will square off on Friday night as Byron Center hosts Forest Hills Central.

The Bulldogs have had no problems in the first two weeks with impressive road wins over Forest Hills Northern (38-7) and Grand Rapids Christian (41-6).

Meanwhile, the Rangers have beaten Northern and Christian as well in the first two weeks of the season as the two teams get set to square off for the first time since 1964.

  • Lowell (2-0) at Greenville (0-2)

The third unbeaten through two weeks in conference play is Lowell, where the Red Arrows get set to travel to Greenville.

Lowell leads the series, 33-12 since 1950 and beat the Yellow Jackets, 40-0 in 2019.

  • Allendale (2-0) at Fruitport (1-1)

Also in the OK Blue, Allendale travels to Fruitport.

The Trojans notched win No. 1 of the 2020 season with a 44-15 win over Holland Christian in week two while the Falcons beat Hamilton, 24-14.

It will mark the first-ever meeting between the two programs.

  • Reed City (2-0) at Central Montcalm (2-0)

In the Central States Gold, the lone unbeatens will meet as Central Montcalm hosts Reed City.

The Coyotes beat Chippewa Hills, 46-26 in week one before a 30-0 win against Big Rapids in week two.

Meanwhile, Central Montcalm beat the same teams in the opening two weeks.

  • Holton (2-0) at Kent City (2-0)

The lone unbeatens in the Central States Silver get set to square off on Friday night as Kent City hosts Holton.

The Eagles shutout Morley Stanwood, 14-0 in week one before a 10-8 thriller over Hesperia in week two.

Meanwhile, Holton has already topped its win total from 2019 after a 2-0 start, beating White Cloud and Lakeview.

  • Muskegon Catholic Central (2-0) at Sparta (1-1)

It's a non-conference meeting between Sparta and Muskegon Catholic Central as the OK Silver meets the Lakes 8.

The Spartans are coming off a 32-10 setback to Hopkins while the Crusaders have beaten Ludington and Benton Harbor to start the 2020 season.

  • North Muskegon (2-0) at Whitehall (2-0)

In the West Michigan Conference, Whitehall hosts North Muskegon in a battle of unbeatens.

Whitehall has yet to allow a point this season after a 48-0 win over Ravenna and beating Shelby, 64-0.

Meanwhile, the Norsemen beat Shelby, 42-0 and Hart, 41-16 so far this season.

Whitehall has won five of the last six meetings in the series but the Norsemen won the 2019 battle, 17-7.

  • Sturgis (2-0) at Paw Paw (2-0)

The lone unbeatens left in the Wolverine Conference square off on Friday night as Paw Paw hosts Sturgis.

The Red Wolves have one the last three meetings in the series and are coming off of a 52-0 shutout of Otsego in week two.

Meanwhile, Sturgis is off to an impressive 2-0 start by beating Three Rivers and Allegan, after back-to-back 1-8 seasons.

  • Delton Kellogg (1-1) at Lawton (2-0)

Lawton is off to a 2-0 start for the second consecutive season under head coach Wade Waldrup as the Blue Devils get set to host Delton Kellogg.
