GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — The City of Grand Rapids is adjusting some of its parking rules for a limited time.
Unitil "further notice," the city has temporarily suspended metered parking enforcement downtown and in "neighborhood business districts," according to the Grand Rapids Police Department today.
The department is "re-prioritizing" enforcement on safety violations, such as “No Parking” and blocking crosswalks.
The city has also temporarily suspended enforcement in residential parking permit zones, as well as ended enforcement of seasonal odd-even and same-side parking restrictions.
Those will changes will end on April 1.
