GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — Union High School was placed on a temporary lockdown after public safety officials became aware of some sort of rumor.

GRPS reports the lockdown lasted for about an hour and there’s no immediate threat to staff, students or the public.

They say Friday’s incident is not related to what happened near the high school last week and they’re confident there is no threat.

Classes resumed as normal.
