BATTLE CREEK, Mich. — A sink hole that closed South Helmer Road was caused by a failing culvert according to officials.
Crews will be replacing the culvert on Tuesday, but say repairs could run into Wednesday depending on the weather. South Helmer Road will be closed between Tiffany Lane and Beckly until crews finish.
The City of Battle Creek will update on the project’s progress via social media and the city’s website.
