BATTLE CREEK, Mich. -- Jenna Core homered and Leah Vaughn pitched well, but it was not enough, as the Spring Lake softball team lost to Lakshore 3-1 Tuesday in a Division 2 state quarterfinal at Bailey Park.
The Lakers won a second straight regional championship this season, and the senior class finishes up a remarkable run at Spring Lake.
