ROBINSON TOWNSHIP, Mich. -- A stretch of Lake Michigan Drive was closed for nearly 3 hours Monday after a fatal three-vehicle crash in Robinson Township.
The crash was reported just after 3:40 p.m. at 128th Avenue.
Authorities say the driver of a silver Pontiac Grand Am slowed to turn left on 128th when the car was hit from behind by another vehicle. The Grand Am then crossed the center line and collided with a third vehicle.
The driver of the Grand Am was killed and two passengers were critically injured. A passenger in another vehicle suffered non-life threatening injuries.
Lake Michigan Drive was closed between 136th Avenue and M-231 until about 6:30 p.m.
The victim's identity has not yet been released.
