GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - City officials are watching the rising Grand River for possible road closures along Market Avenue.
The stretch of Market Avenue SW between the I-196 interchange and Wealthy Street runs alongside the river. The river is expected to crest above flood stage this weekend.
As of 11:00 a.m. Friday, the road, which is heavily traveled by trucks, was still open.
