EASTON TOWNSHIP, Mich. — A 72-year-old Greenville woman died Tuesday in a crash in Ionia County.
The three-vehicle crash was reported along M-66 (N. State Road) south of Dildine Road at about 1:45 p.m.
The Ionia County Sheriff’s Office says Gisela Peek’s vehicle was struck from behind while she was waiting to turn left. Her car went into the northbound lane of M-66 and was struck by another vehicle.
Peek was pronounced dead at the scene. Three passengers in the northbound vehicle—a 27-year-old woman and two children—were hospitalized with non-life threatening injuries, according to the Ionia County Sheriff’s Office.
The road was closed for almost three hours after the crash but has since reopened.
The crash remains under investigation.
