GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - Kent County residents now have access to Smart 911.
The program allows residents to create an online profile for their household. When that person calls 911, their account is accessed by dispatchers who then can see the home address, medical information, even pet descriptions.
The system is expected to improve emergency responses in any situation.
