Man arrested after reportedly firing shots into Kalamazoo home

KALAMAZOO, Mich. – A 37-year-old man from Kalamazoo was arrested early Sunday after police say he fired multiple shots from his car into a home and then tried to run from officers.

It happened in the 900 block of Southworth Terrace around 1:54 a.m.

When officers arrived, they found the suspect’s vehicle parked in the middle of Southworth Terrace and tried to make contact with the suspect.

Police say that suspect fled in the vehicle but was quickly taken into custody.

The suspect is currently awaiting arraignment on multiple felony charges including felon in possession of a firearm, discharge of a firearm into an occupied dwelling, fleeing and eluding, and operating while intoxicated.

No one was injured in the incident, according to a news release by the Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety.
