ALLEGAN, Mich. — A home in Allegan County was destroyed by a fire late Saturday and a FOX 17 viewer was there to capture these photos.
It happened in the area of 104th Avenue and 44th Street.
The viewer, neighbor James Long, says the family did make it out without injuries but their five dogs did not survive.
Long says he lives just one house away from where the blaze took place.
It is not clear what started the fire.
FOX17 reached out to the Allegan County Central Dispatch Saturday night and was told the Lee Township Fire Department would be handling this investigation.
A call to that department for comment has not yet been returned.
