GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — Grand Rapids Catholic Central’s hockey team is joining forces with Forest Hills Central to collect teddy bears that will be donated to Hug-a-Bear Kent County.

The teams are asking people to purchase a new teddy bear and bring it to their December 16 game at Southside Ice Arena at 7:30p.m.

Kids can get into the event free by wearing a hockey jersey and donating a teddy bear.

The teams will then donate the bears to Hug-a-Bear Kent County which provides comfort to children in traumatic situations with something as simple as a teddy bear.
