KALAMAZOO, Mich. — The Kalamazoo Public Safety Department is seeking a suspect who struck a woman and tried to steal her purse.
The incident took place around 12:40 a.m. Wednesday on Davis Street near Lovell Street.
A 27-year-old woman said the suspect struck her in the face and tried to take her purse but failed. He ran off.
The woman was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
The assailant was described as a black male, about 6 feet tall, wearing a dark, Carhartt style jacket and black pants.
