Suspect in Caledonia road rage murder is back in jail

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – The teen accused of beating a Caledonia man to death in a road rage incident is back in jail.

Christian Hillman was re-booked into the Kent County Jail and is being held on a bond of $1 million.

Hillman had bonded out of jail on a $100,000 bond last week.  He was originally charged with assault in the incident that happened September 29 on Whitneyville Road, but when the victim, William McFarlan, died on October 31st, the prosecutor upped the charges against Hillman to 2nd degree murder.

Hillman is expected to be back in court on the new charges on December 1.
