TALLMADGE TOWNSHIP, Mich — A Grand Rapids woman is expect to recover after crashing her SUV Monday morning.
It happened around 8:10 a.m. along Lake Michigan Drive west of 14th Avenue in Tallmadge Township.
Laura Schurman, 45, of Grand Rapids, reportedly lost control of her 2013 Chevrolet Equinox and left the roadway while driving east on Lake Michigan Drive, according to a press release from the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office. Police say Schurman was pinned in the vehicle after she struck a steel post and sign in the parking lot of Woodland Equipment.
The driver was taken to Spectrum Butterworth and treated for minor injuries.
