BERRIEN TOWNSHIP, Mich. – A Berrien Center man has died after being hit by a car after being in a crash early Friday morning.
The Berrien County Sheriff says that Robert Froehlich, 81, was driving a 2003 Ford F150 when he turned off Deans Hill Road onto Old US-31. His vehicle was hit by another Ford 150 driven by a 67-year-old Berrien Springs man.
After the crash, deputies say Froehlich got out of his vehicle and he was hit by a 2004 Toyota heading northbound, driven by a 30-year-old Berrien Springs woman.
Froehlich died at the scene. The other two drivers were not injured. The crash is still being investigated and the prosecutor will review possible charges.
