KALAMAZOO, Mich. - Are you heading to Western Michigan University Saturday morning for ESPN's Game Day? Here's some information you may need to know...and other things you'll sound smarter for knowing.

  • The Emmy Award-winning show will be live from Sangren Plaza at WMU from 9:00am until Noon.
  • Rece Davis hosts Game Day with Lee Corso, Kirk Herbstreit, Desmond Howard (former U of M player) and David Pollack.  Also in the show will be Samantha Ponder, Tom Rinaldi and others.
  • The show always ends with Lee Corso putting on the mascot head of the team he thinks is going to win the matchup.  In the history of the show, Corso has never picked Western Michigan or Buffalo (WMU's opponent this week).
  • This will be the first time Game Day has come to Kalamazoo.  Kalamazoo is the 77th different city for Game Day and WMU will be the 68th different school to host Game Day.
  • Western Michigan is the 8th first-time school to host Game Day in the last three years.  All four debut hosts in 2014 won - Ole Miss, Mississippi State, Harvard and Baylor.  In 2015, James Madison and Temple lost.  So far this year, Louisville won as a first-time host.
  • There has been only one other MAC game hosting Game Day - Oct. 25, 2003, Bowling Green vs. Northern Illinois.  NIU's leading receiver that day was current WMU head coach P.J. Fleck.
  • Home teams on Game Day have lost the last three weeks.
  • Lee Corso has picked the right winner seven of 11 times this year.
  • The weather Saturday morning will be very cold and windy. Click here for the latest forecast and radar.
  • There is a pep rally with the team in Bronson Park Friday night at 5:30pm.
