WEST MICHIGAN -- Paul Lovell turns 107 this Friday and the only gift he wants is to see Donald Trump become president.
Family member say Lovell could be the oldest man in Kent County. He was born in a barn in Oceana County back in 1909, a carpenter who's always been a life-long Democrat because of the unions.
He's seen 20 presidents in his life, Roosevelt being his favorite, but now he's cheering on Donald Trump.
"He’s made a lot of money for himself, he just might make a lot of money for you and I," said Lovell. "He likes the ladies and that isn't bad. Besides, I've got $5 tied up in him."
Despite the small wager he made with one of his lunch mates, Lovell hopes the Republican candidate can change America for the better.
"The only thing that matters is if the working class gets a living wage or better," said Lovell.
Lovell jokingly told FOX 17 the key to a long life is eating oatmeal, smoking camel light cigarettes, and V-8 juice. But in truth, says it doesn't matter who wins or loses the election, saying it's his family that really keeps him going.
"Glad my people are here... what more can you ask?" said Lovell.
