Help spread some holiday cheer to military men and women across the United States by donating a tree through the Trees for Troops program.
Michigan growers have donated over 1,200 trees since 2005, and want to continue sharing holiday cheer with our troops.
Trees for Troops will be loading Christmas trees on Monday, November 28 at 10 a.m. Loading will take place at Wahmhoff Farms Nursery at 23090 M40 Highway in Globes.
If you're interested in donating a tree to a family, trees can be purchased at mitrees.com or the following locations on Thanksgiving weekend.
- Badger Evergreen, Allegan
- Farnsworth Tree Farm, Grand Rapids
- Mike Gwinn, Horton
- Korson Tree Farms, Sidney
- Mathisen Tree Farm, Greenville
- Tannenbaum Farms, Mason
- Wahmhoff Farms, Gobles
Trees for Troops is also still looking for volunteers to help load the trees. So if you're interested in volunteering, make sure you wear warm clothes and wear work gloves. There will be donuts and cider provided after the event.
The trees this year will be donated to troops and veterans in Fort Benning, Georgia.
