Blue Bloods Square Off for District Title

MUSKEGON, Mich -- East Grand Rapids is one of only two schools to win five consecutive football state championships and the Pioneers have won 10 in school history.  With 816 wins in program history, Muskegon is the winningest in the state of Michigan.

EGR and Muskegon meet in a division 3 District Final Friday in the Game of the Week.

The Pioneers have won 7 games in a row following at 1-2 start.  Muskegon has won 8 straight after falling to Lincolnshire Stevenson (IL) in week two.

In division 1 Rockford (7-3) meets Grandville (9-1) in the Blitz Battle.  The Rams handed the Bulldogs their only defeat back in week 6, 7-6 on a rain soaked night in Rockford.  Grandville hasn't beat Rockford since 2005, that's 12 straight meetings that have gone the way of the Rams.
