PORTAGE, Mich. — The Air Zoo, known for it's masterfully-restored wartime aircraft, was transformed into a political rally for hundreds of local Donald Trump supporters. Senator Ted Cruz and Trump’s running mate Mike Pence spoke to the crowd, encouraging them to go out and vote next Tuesday.
“It’s all about picking up the phone,” said Senator Cruz. “Calling your friends, calling your family, calling your neighbors and saying ‘if you care about jobs, if you care about freedom, if you care about security, come out and vote, and vote to protect our freedom.’”
Over 1,000 people were in attendance, all of them cheering on the pair and taking pictures with their phones. Some even chanting “lock her up” when Pence spoke about Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton. Pence emphasized that if he and Trump are elected next Tuesday they’re going to cut taxes, bring jobs back to the United States and repeal Obamacare.
“He is a fighter, he is a winner,” said Pence about Trump. “This party is coming together, this movement is coming together, and we’re going to make Donald trump, the next president of the united states of America.”
Meanwhile the Air Zoo released a statement saying they are neutral in this election. They do not support Trump, Clinton or any candidate. Their facility is used for multiple events ranging from weddings to corporate functions and "occasionally events of political nature." As a not-for-profit organization, the Air Zoo "remains absolutely neutral in terms of partisan politics."
