INGHAM COUNTY, Mich. — Police in Ingham County are treating the death of a six-year-old girl as a homicide after her body was recovered from the scene of an apartment fire Tuesday night. That fire is being investigated as arson.
According to officials at the Ingham County Sheriff’s Office, the fire was reported at approximately 7:30 p.m. at the Old Orchard Apartments in Delhi Township.
We are told that firefighters recovered the body of the little girl after they extinguished the flames. A person of interest is said to be in police custody.
