When families come to Soaring Eagle Waterpark and Hotel, kids think they're coming for a day of fun. But when they walk through the halls outside of the water park, they'll get a cultural lesson as well.

The Soaring Eagle Waterpark and Hotel is owned by Saginaw Chippewa Indian Tribe, so many design elements are taken from their tribal culture. There are also photos and paintings hanging in the halls, to get a glance at the culture and history of the tribe.

Kids can even gather and listen to Nokomis, an animatronic figure, that uses parts of the Ojibwe language to tells stories.
