BATTLE CREEK, Mich. — A 48-year-old man is in critical condition after he was shot in the chest Saturday night.
Police say it happened in the 200 block of Cherry St. around 10:45 p.m. Investigators at that scene said the victim was outside when several shots were heard, one of those hit the man.
Officers did find a “person of interest” a few blocks away. As of late Saturday night, that 26-year-old was being questioned.
Police said they recovered a firearm.
