GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. -- FOX 17 and Easterseals Michigan teamed up for an event giving people the opportunity of a lifetime, all while supporting a good cause.
Our Alyssa Hearin had the chance to participate and that involved getting strapped into a harnesses and rappelling down the Plaza Towers in downtown Grand Rapids.
The towers are 345 feet tall, that's equivalent to two Statues of Liberties stacked on top on each other.
More than 50 other participants raised $1,500 each and had the chance to go ‘Over the Edge’.
The event benefiting Easterseals Michigan is helping to raise money for older adults and bringing rehab and wellness to those who need it.
