Guiding Lightprides itself in helping men and women in the community by helping them get back on their feet.
They provide services to the homeless and suffering while sharing the love of Christ to those in need. They help those in need find jobs, housing, and recover from substance abuse or other life struggles they might face.
The Guiding Light is hosting a very special banquet coming up, to promote their cause.
The Guiding Light banquet will feature special guest, Ron Hall, co-author of the book "Same Kind of Different as Me." The book is a true story of an international art dealer who must make friends with a dangerous homeless man to save his struggling marriage. Throughout the book, his wife's dreams lead all three of them on a remarkable journey of a lifetime.
The banquet will take place at Fredrik Meijer Gardens on October 5 from 6 to 8:30 p.m.
